Dulcimer 004
Custom Built for Jackie Laliker
Our good friend, Jackie Laliker has learning to play the dulcimer on her bucket list and she asked if I would build one for her.
She left the design up to me and asked that I use as many recycled parts as possible.
I decided to build two dulcimers, slightly different. One for Jackie and the other (Dulcimer 003) for Gary Montgomery, a local cabinetmaker, who lets me go through his scrap bin. The walnut for both dulcimers came from Gary's shop.

Maple leftover from some interior finish work that architect and builder, Chip Conway, gave me. I discovered Chip when I was looking for someone to build my workshop and he ended up designing and building it. During the course of construction, I found out that Chip is a fantastic guitar player. We've been jamming together ever since. Learn more about Chip. -
